Local Students Fee Schedule

Accommodation

Many local students will live at home or with a relative in the Toronto area. New Renaissance Academy has an agreement with a highly accredited homestay provider to arrange accommodation for local students in need of accommodation while studying at New Renaissance Academy. There is a separate homestay application form should a local student need a homestay placement.

Custodianship

Parents living in other parts of Canada often ask about the possibility of New Renaissance Academy arranging a custodian for their son/daughter while attending school, in Toronto. New Renaissance Academy is prepared to arrange custodianship upon request.

Refund Policy

It should be noted that upon accepting a student, an Ontario School Record (OSR) is initiated, other pertinent school files are completed and teachers are hired. A great deal of time, effort and expense goes into properly preparing to accept a student upon arrival. The following refund policy is in place for local students:

Prior to school commencing

All refund requests must be in writing.

  • Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Students who withdraw from the school up to four weeks prior to the start of school will receive a full tuition refund minus the registration fee.
  • Students who withdraw from the school within the four weeks prior to school commencement will receive a 70% refund minus the registration fee.
  • Students applying for accommodation will receive a refund minus the two months accommodation fee given to the homestay family and the accommodation placement fee.

After school begins:

  • Once classes begin, there is no refund.

There will also be no refund of the tuition fee in the following circumstances:

  • If the student is found in violation of school regulations and asked to withdraw from the school
  • If the student has been misrepresented on the application form
  • If the student is guilty of cheating or plagiarism
  • Persistent absence without cause

Special Circumstances

There are unusual circumstances which may from time to time cause a student to be absent. The most common one relates to a student’s health. Should that be the case, a written request from the parent may be considered. In such cases, a refund may not be offered but rather a credit for future study when the student returns.
